Roger Federer v Gaston Gaudio

6-0, 6-0

Federer eases into Masters final by destroying Gaudio in a rout where Federer never lost a game.
Roger Federer recorded the first 6-0 6-0 win in Masters Cup history as he crushed Argentina's Gaston Gaudio to reach the final in Shanghai.
Federer broke serve in the second game and looked almost embarrassed as he wrapped up the match in under an hour.

Federer said: "To get that sort of treatment is no fun for anybody. I'd feel embarrassed to lose 6-0 6-0 but he shouldn't be miserable.
Gaudio said after the loss, "I think I was playing against a guy who is the best in history and on a surface where he's so much better than me."
Gaudio, who had never been double bageled before, said: "I'm sad about it and I'm disappointed, but what can I do? It happens in life, and there are worse things.
