Lleyton Hewitt v Andy Roddick

In an epic encounter lasting two hours 33 minutes, Hewitt weathered a barrage of aces from Roddick to prevail.

"I'm disappointed, but I'm not upset because I feel like I played a really good match. I know it took the best of Lleyton tonight," Roddick said.

The big-serving Roddick had 25 aces to Hewitt's 10, but ended too many long rallies with his shots sailing long or wide.

Roddick made 53 unforced errors to the Australian's 37.   Hewitt's grit, determination, and will to win were on full display in this semi-final matchup to see which would move on to face the invincible looking Roger Federer.

Hewitt said he was looking forward to facing Federer in the final saying that Federer would have to bring his best game to beat him.
