ANDRE AGASSI v ROBBY GINEPRI
In a battle of wills, the 35 year old Andre Agassi played the 22 year old Ginepri. This match was the 3rd straight 5 setter for Andre and the 4th in a row for Robby. The match started off great with Ginepri surprising Andre by blasting backhands down the line and chasing down Andre's dropshots with ease. But then Ginepri's serve faltered in the 3rd set and so did his confidence. But he found his game in the 4th set and started hitting aces to get the match even again. Things boiled down to who could hit the shots under pressure in the 5th set. Andre battled through and even though his backhand was not his usual weapon, he promised to be ready for the final to hopefully take down Federer in one of the biggest matches of his life. Federer has won 7 in a row and Andre is sure to be tired from all of the long matches over the past weeks, but never count Agassi out. He has the heart of a champion and a true fighting spirit!
