6-3, 6-4

Serbian teenager Novak Djokovic upset Spaniard Rafael Nadal in Miami to reach the semi-finals of the Masters Series hardcourt tournament.
Djokovic, 19, avenged his loss to Nadal in the final of the Masters Series tournament in Indian Wells, California, two weeks ago.

Djokovic appeared to have learned new strategies to use against Nadal and matched the 2nd ranked Spaniard in athleticism when Nadal fought back

with his vicious groundstrokes.
Djokovic fought off three break points in the final game before closing out the match with an ace after 1hr 37min.
The last game had amazing intensity as Nadal tried with all his might to break Djokovic in an attempt to force a deciding set.

But Djokovic overcame a few nervous blunders at the net, to seal a victory that seemed as important to him as a title.

Throughout the match, Djokovic used an impressive array of serves that kept Nadal deep behind the baseline.

In the semi-finals he'll face Scotland's Andy Murray, who advanced earlier today when American Andy Roddick retired injured.
"Certainly I have to say that this is the biggest, and probably the most important victory in my career, and he's the best player I ever won against," Djokovic said.

"Coming from Indian Wells finals, I learned a lot of things... Today I was really motivated. I didn't have anything to lose.

I'm making some unbelievable results in the last couple of months. I'm in great shape, feeling really confident on the court."
