2008 US OPEN

                   SERENA WILLIAMS   v     VENUS WILLIAMS

7-6, 7-6

Serena Williams barely got the better of older sister Venus Williams in a U.S. Open quarterfinal that was fit for a final, coming back in each set to win.

Venus smacked serves at up to 125 mph, Serena at up to 115 mph.

Against most other WTA players, those would be winners, but the sisters were able to fire shots back at each other.

They hit groundstrokes and volleys that would be the envy of nearly every other woman on tour.

They chased down balls with fantastic defense and showed speed that would be the envy of anyone on tour.

Venus seemed to be in control the entire match, but Serena kept fighting until she ended up the victor in this sibling rivalry.
